After 11 successful years at our former Tempe location, our continual organizational growth and expansion in services have led to this exciting transition. SDC’s new office is located at 63 South Rockford Drive, Suite 240, Tempe, AZ 85281.

“The move to our new office in Tempe is a key component of our growth strategy moving forward,” said Richard Abelson, Ph.D., President and CEO at SDC. “The expanded and enhanced space in the new Tempe office will allow for continued development both in breadth of services as well as depth of expertise for our clients.”

Biostatistics for Non-Statisticians: Understanding Different Types of Analyses and When to Use Each

Understanding the different types of statistical analyses used in clinical trials can help non-statisticians better understand their study design and results. Employee Spotlight 

Lisa Cevasco

Senior Manager, Quality Assurance

Lisa Cevasco joined SDC in August 2018 as Senior Manager, Quality Assurance (QA), responsible for leading a team dedicated to the continuous improvement of SDC's quality management system (QMS). From maintaining our closed-loop Corrective and Preventive Actions process to implementing lean six-sigma continuous improvement methods, Lisa and the QA team at SDC are setting the industry standard in putting Quality First. By putting Quality First, SDC is committed to providing quality, consistency, and credibility to all of our clients, sponsors, partners, and regulatory authorities.

As Senior Manager, QA, Lisa leads our internal, external, and supplier audits, ensuring that our processes and technologies are in compliance with all applicable standards. She also maintains quality metrics to measure performance trends overtime, such as our 98% on-time delivery of key project milestones. QA is also responsible for maintaining SDC's disaster recovery plan, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and internal training logs to ensure that all personnel are appropriately trained on key processes and industry standards.

Prior to joining the SDC family, Lisa worked at Henkel Corporation, Stryker Sustainability Solutions, and Raytheon Missile Systems in various quality assurance, sourcing/supplier quality, and process engineering roles. She is an experienced Quality Assurance manager skilled in root cause analysis, continuous improvement, and audit management. 

Lisa received both her MBA with an emphasis in Marketing and BSE in Chemical Engineering from Arizona State University in Tempe, AZ. She is an active member of the Society of Women Engineers.

Based in SDC’s Tempe, AZ office, Lisa enjoys spending time with her husband and 2 children (Sofia, 7 and Jack, 4) which includes watching her kids play sports and dance, reading, working out, and getting together with extended family and friends.
