Chen Quin "Eric" Lam joined SDC in 2017 as one of the first employees in our Massachusetts office. As a Senior Biostatistician, he is responsible for designing clinical trials, writing statistical analysis plans, and performing planned and ad-hoc analyses of clinical trial data. He enjoys working cross-functionally with internal teams and external clients to resolve challenging data issues and to advise on statistical analyses and concepts.

Prior to joining SDC, Eric worked as a Senior Research Scientist at Eli Lilly & Company, Singapore, and was Senior Assistant Director at the Singapore Department of Statistics, Ministry of Trade & Industry. In his decade-long career in clinical trial statistics, he has supported studies across a variety of therapeutic indications such as Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), Diabetes, Dry Eye Disease, Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS), and Retinitis Pigmentosa to name a few. He has supported regulatory approvals in the USA, Europe, Canada, and Japan. 

Eric holds a PhD in Statistics from The Ohio State University (OSU) and Master of Science degrees in Statistics from OSU and National University of Singapore. 

Based in our Massachusetts office, Eric enjoys spending time with his wife and two boys exploring the vibrant New England region and getting absorbed in the excitement of Red Sox and Patriots games!
